State-of-the-art equipment and advanced training empower the certified Level 1 Thermographers at zumBrunnen to properly diagnose a broad range of issues and improve the quality and detail of their reports without destructive testing. zumBrunnen uses a FLIR B50 infrared camera for this inspection, and maintains a Level 1 Certification that complies with the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A.

Target "Invisible" Problems

With the equipment, zumBrunnen’s trained inspectors “see” otherwise non-visible moisture intrusion/ingress and locating areas of water intrusion under floors, and in walls and ceilings. The equipment will also help detect electrical problems. The high-quality thermograms pinpoint loose connections with motors, starters and electrical panels that might later cause serious problems such as fire. The equipment also helps highlight where energy efficiency can be improved by allowing the inspectors to “see” missing insulation, damaged pipes, air leakage, poorly sealed windows, doors and ductwork.
